  How To Use This Catalog
KB Performance Piston catalog #006 is sectioned alphabetically by Engine Manufacturer. The pistons are then listed first by engine displacement (350,383,400,etc.), connecting rod length, and finally by compression ratio. Stroker and non-stroked applications are listed as the final cubic inch displacement (i.e., a 383 stroker piston will not be in the 350 section); for more information on these build-ups see the, Stroker Applications page. If you see underlined text anywhere in our web site or catalog, it is a link to more information about that subject. All you have to do is click on the underlined text to go to that linked section.   Emissions Notice
This catalog has been designed to help the W.D., Rebuilder and the public comply with State and Federal emission regulations when KB pistons are used in street applications. A piston listing with the term "O.E. Replacement" means that the piston has the same functional dimensions as the original equipment manufacturer's piston. When this piston is used with components dimensionally the same as the O.E. components, the emission level will remain unchanged. This catalog shows the term "O.E. Replacement" not only for a piston listing but, also, for the "years" within that listing. This is important from an emission standpoint because an O.E. manufacturer may have changed piston design for certain years for the same engine designation. A piston listing designated with an *asterisk means that there is no original equipment equivalent piston for the application indicated, and is not legal for sale or use on pollution controlled motor vehicles. It is suggested that State and Federal emission regulations be checked.

  Ordering Single Replacements
When ordering single replacement pistons, you must specify part number, left or right exhaust valve, oversize and a piston and pin weight in grams.

 Compression Ratio Information
All weights and compression ratios are based on a .030" oversize piston for that listing. The compression ratios in each listing are calculated using a combined deck clearance and gasket thickness of .040", and bore diameter of .030" oversize, unless otherwise noted in the listing under the notes.
